How are annual fees determined?

The guiding principle of the Textile Industry can be summarised by the "downstream determines upstream" principle. Every year the eco-organisation determines its financing needs and fixes the fees to be collected the following year with its Board of Directors.

"Regular" fees: 

  • The sum of annual fees is calculated on the basis of the number of items placed on the market the previous year.
  • There are 4 levels of scale depending on the size of items. Fees are calculated per item.
  • The fee is per piece.

Small Items: €0.011 excluding tax / item
Average Items: €0.021 excluding tax / item
Large Items: €0.063 excluding tax / item

Very Small Items: €0.010 excluding tax / item
Small Items: €0.019 excluding tax / item
Average Items: €0.034 excluding tax / item
Large Items: €0.071 excluding tax / item

By eco-designing you can benefit from a bonus on your eco-fees.

Refashion has created an eco-modulated scale which aims to encourage the design of more sustainable products and encourage marketers to incorporate recycled materials from used textiles and footwear or production offcuts in new products.
