All textiles and shoes must be dropped off clean and dry (no need to iron them, though). Why? Because damp or dirty clothes can get moldy and be sent straight for destruction.

Placed on the street or in a car park, you can leave your used clothes and shoes here, even if they're damaged.

Some shops and charities have collection points for your old clothes and shoes, even if they are damaged!

If they're damaged, frayed, wrinkled, slightly stained, coming apart, torn or discoloured... no problem. You can still drop off your clothes and shoes at collection points. But be careful: if they’re stained with paint or other chemicals, put them directly in the bin as they can’t be recycled.

Shoes should be tied in pairs to prevent them from becoming separated and unusable.

Put all your items in one or more well-sealed bags of no more than 30 litres before dropping them off at a collection point. Most importantly, don't leave anything lying around in public spaces.
