Winner of the latest Global Change Awards,
Biorestore is a detergent that instead of washing,
restores cotton clothes so they look new again.
Colours are invigorated, rubbing and other pilling
marks disappear. With this product, clothes are
refreshed, restored and revived. The project was
entirely crowdfunded on Kickstarter. Its origins
lie in a fashion-tech founded by two experienced
Swedes laser-focused on the superpowers of
enzymes and the difference between detergent and
retergent.
Between the success of vintage clothes and today’s
obsession with “worn patina”, it’s fair to say that
Biorestore’s promise to make an old item look new goes
against current trends. But giving your clothes a new
lease of life is perhaps the ultimate responsible action;
it keeps the temptation of buying new clothes, costly
for the environment, at bay. Maintaining clothes in
good condition is without a doubt the best way to make
people want to keep them longer. We are reconditioning
technology. So why not recondition clothes too? After
“faux vintage” which accelerated the passing of time,
we now have “newly new” - an attempt to remove it...
Anti-ageing for clothes.
