The Recycling Development Call for Bids

The European clothing, household linen and footwear (CHF) recycling sector is unable to absorb all the volumes collected in France. Yet industrial capacity exists to recycle and reincorporate these materials into new finished or semi-finished products.

In order to finance the incorporation of additional volumes of non-reusable used CHF into yarns or acoustic/thermal insulation for the building industry, Refashion is launching its first Recycling Development Call for Bid.

Relevant markets

The bid is structured around two markets, aligned with the recycling solutions already industrialised:

  • Insulation Product Market: 20,000 tonnes, divided into batches of 500 tonnes.

  • Wire Product Market: 500 tonnes, divided into batches of 25 tonnes.

Each contract will be concluded for an initial period of 24 months, with an option to extend for a further 12 months. Several players may be selected for the same contract, depending on the number of batches they undertake to include in their production.

Applicants must position themselves on at least 2 lots for each of the contracts to which they wish to respond.
