What are the objectives of the Industrial Challenge?

The aim of the Industrial Challenge is to accelerate the recycling of textiles and footwear in France and Europe, through the industrialisation of innovative technologies and industrial outlets.

For this 1st edition, Refashion seeks to receive projects with a technology readiness level of between 7 and 9, and which fit into one of the following strategic areas:

Industrial solutions for automated sorting to recognise materials and colours, and to prepare non-reusable household textiles and footwear for recycling,
Industrial solutions for recycling non-reusable used household textiles and footwear,
Incorporation of recycled materials into semi-finished or finished products on an industrial scale.

Refashion is the Textile industry's eco-organisation (clothing, household linen and footwear). Its role is to oversee the prevention and end-of-life management of these items for the companies which place them on the market.
