Refashion’s call for R&D projects to optimize the recycling of non-reusable used textiles and footwear and to accelerate the circular development of the sector in France and Europe, is coming back this year
For this 13th edition, the eco-organization is seeking to receive innovative projects focusing on one of the following strategic areas:
Eco-design of textiles and footwear for recycling
Innovative solutions for sorting and preprocessing non-reusable post-consumer textiles or footwear for recycling
Innovative solutions for recycling non-reusable post-consumer textiles or footwear, or incorporation of recycled materials into industrial solutions

Why participate? A unique opportunity to submit innovative solutions to accelerate the development of recycling of non-reusable post-consumer clothing, household linen and footwear collected in France.
When to apply? It will be possible to submit your application between the July 10th and September 10th 2023, on the dedicated platform.
What is the Technology Readiness Level expected? This year, Refashion will focus on projects at research and early development (prototyping) stages, corresponding to TRL between 1 and 4. More advanced projects will not be eligible, although they may be presented in the form of pre-projects / feasibility studies, before submission to the 2024 edition of the Innovation Challenge.
What is the financial support? Being selected for the 2023 Innovation Challenge is an opportunity of funding of up to €15,000 for your project (up to 50% of the total project cost).
