Optimise reuse

Develop initiatives enabling the life spans of textiles and footwear to be extended

What are the developmental conditions for reuse?

Reuse is the leading and preferred from of recovery for used textiles and footwear. Today, 57.8% of textiles and footwear collected and sorted are considered to be apt for reuse. Only 5% of these items will be sold on in France. The remainder is exported to meet demand in client countries. The stake for years to come is to develop preparation solutions (alterations, cleaning, repair…) in order to optimise the rate of reuse of used textiles and footwear in France .
