Find out all about regularisation with Refashion here
You manufacture, import, assemble or bring in textiles and footwear purchased by French households? Then you are obliged to organise and finance the end-of-life of your products: this is known as Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).
Reminder: what is EPR?
EPR requires companies subject to the law to finance the management and prevention of the end-of-life of products (in this case clothing, household linen and footwear) that they put on the market. This system, the cornerstone of the circular economy, is helping to speed up the transition to more responsible and sustainable models.
The eco-taxes collected enable us to take action across the entire product life cycle: from production to consumption to regeneration.
Specifically, these are broken down into 4 main expenditure items:
-
Collection, sorting and treatment management
-
Eco-modulations
-
Repair Fund
-
The Reuse Fund
To sum up, registering with Refashion means:
-
Fulfilling your legal obligation to prevent and manage textile waste.
-
Obtaining your Unique Identifier (UID), which is essential for your commercial documents.
-
Getting involved with industry stakeholders to reduce the environmental impact of your products and initiate a circular approach.
-
Benefiting from tools to go beyond your obligations and move towards more responsible practices.
What's next? Let's change the way we do things for good
When you regularise with Refashion, you meet your legal obligation, but you also gain access to information, a network, tools and financial aid to support your efforts.
We support your transformation towards more circularity by working on :
-
Ecodesigning: we support you in the ecodesign of your products to extend their lifespan - and set up eco-modulations to encourage virtuous approaches through bonuses or penalties.
-
Incorporating recycled materials: benefit from additional funding via calls for projects and experiments to promote the circular economy.
-
Repair: extending the lifespan of products on the market is key: that's why the Repair Bonus was developed over a year ago.
-
Collection: whether in your shops, head offices or other strategic locations, we can help you set up collection solutions that complement the traditional system.
-
Reuse: initiate development projects and finance initiatives and projects to promote the reuse of textiles and footwear.
